What we keep

From your account: your email address, an encrypted version of your password, the name shown on your ads, your language, your town and whether the account is private or business. A business account also carries the company name and the NIF or CIF, which the law requires of traders.

From your ads: the text, the photographs, the price, the category and the town, and how often the ad has been viewed.

From your messages and offers: what you write, to whom, when, and the amount you offer. Messages are translated automatically when you and the other person have set different languages.

If you fill in a telephone number it is shown only when you switch that on yourself. We record who asks for it, so that misuse can be traced.

Why we keep it

To run the marketplace: no account, no advert; no message, no buyer. That is us performing the agreement between you and us.

To keep fraud and abuse down: reported messages, suspended accounts and the log of revealed telephone numbers. That is our legitimate interest, and yours.

To tell you something happened: a message, an offer, an answer to your offer. We send you no advertising.

Who processes it

Ourselves, and four companies that each do one thing for us: one hosts the database, the sign-in and your photographs, one hosts the website, one sends our emails and one translates ads and messages.

Those four and no others, and none of them may use your data for anything else. Where data leaves the EU, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply with each of them.

If you want to know exactly who they are, write to info@solumarket.es and you will be told. They are not named here because the list is also a map for anyone looking to attack the site.

What we do not do

No Google Analytics or any other visitor measurement. No advertising networks. No tracking cookies. The only cookies are the one that keeps you signed in and the one that remembers your language.

The typefaces are served from our own machine rather than from Google, so that opening a page does not send your IP address somewhere else first.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on, unless a court or the police requires it.

For how long

Your account stays until you have it deleted. Write to info@solumarket.es and all of it goes: the account, the ads, the photographs, the offers and the conversations. Nothing is left behind, not even with the people you spoke to.

Ads expire after sixty days and leave the listings; you can delete them yourself at any time. Offers lapse after seven days.

Conversations are kept while both accounts exist. They are the evidence if one of you later says something different.

Your rights

You may see what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, object, and take your data with you. Write to info@solumarket.es and you will hear from us within a month.

If you think we are getting it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es) or to the authority in your own country.
